Job Description


Main Responsibilities:

Data Modelling and ImplementationDesign and implement data models in distributed database systemsTo capture business processesThat enable business to carry out summary and detailed analysis in accurate and consistent manner ETL andELT implementations:Design and implement ETL/ELT solutionsBased on understanding the different paradigms and knowing which and when each is appropriate in different circumstancesDesign ETL/ETL solutions that are lean, efficient, scalable, with transparent and centralized business logic processing layer.Implement data warehouse, storage and data structures in Azure Synapse, and Data Lake to support reporting, analysis and Machine Learning workflowsAzure Synapse Database Administration


S kills Required:

Kimball dimensional modelling in big data environment Knowledge and implementation of Rapidly Changing Dimensions Methodologies to implement and manage large dimensions (over 200m) Methodologies to implement and manage very large fact tables (over 40bn) Methodologies to provide appropriate data structures for use by visualization tools Qlik, Tableau, Power BI Experience in building and applying predictive, classification and time series models Create and manage user permissions Allocate appropriate resource to different user types ETL Loaders, regular database users, group users for dashboards Python Azure Data Factory


Other Responsibilities:

Build and maintain effective relationships Deliver business requirements, business process design and functional design activities for Digital projects Translate business requirements into clear functional and business specifications in Jira and Confluence. Document project requirements through the writing of user stories Alongside the project team, review and sign-off solution designs presented by the systems integrator


What do we need for this role?

A high level of business intelligence and strong analytical skills. Experience of delivering business requirements, business process design and functional design on digital change and E-Commerce projects. Proven experience across a range of digital technologies and platforms Experience of software development tools, such as Jira and Confluence Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle in the Agile Model

Ability to translate business requirements into operational requirements Educated to degree level, or equivalent. Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams and third party suppliers Strong interpersonal, communication Ability to manage and prioritise workload Able to work strongly as part of a team or individually Drive, enthusiasm and passion for Digital and eCommerce
