Job Title: Senior Finance & Accounts (Operations Lead) Location: Kolkata Experience: Minimum 15 years Joining: Immediate / Short notice preferred Qualification: B.Com/MBA (Finance) / M.Com / Similar | Preference: Non-CA candidates Job SummaryWe are hiring a Senior Finance & Accounts Professional to manage the full finance and accounting operations on a day-to-day basis. The role is execution-driven and requires someone who can run the finance function independently — from accounting and compliance to reporting and coordination — with strong control over numbers and processes. Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Day-to-Day Finance OperationsMaintain complete books of accounts independently Oversee vouchers, journals, ledgers, reconciliations, and day-end/month-end closing Ensure accuracy in accounting entries and zero pending reconciliations Handle payroll processing, expense booking, and vendor payments Statutory Compliance & Taxation (Hands-On)Prepare and file GST returns, TDS, Income Tax workings Ensure PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory compliance Coordinate audits and prepare all audit schedules and workings Handle assessments, notices, and follow-ups with consultants Billing, Receivables & Payables ControlMonitor customer billing, collections, and ageing Control vendor payments, advances, and ledger balances Follow up on overdue receivables Avoid credit leakage and payment delays Banking & Cash Flow ControlHandle day-to-day banking activities Manage bank limits, LC/BG documentation, and fund utilization Monitor cash flow and payment scheduling Coordinate with banks for operational requirements MIS, Reporting & ControlsPrepare monthly MIS, cash flow statements, profit statements Ensure correct classification of income and expenses Identify mismatches, wrong accounting, or leakages Maintain discipline in documentation and approvals Systems & Team HandlingSupervise the accounts team Review daily work outputs Enforce processes and documentation controls Improve operational efficiency in accounts workflow Candidate ProfileMinimum 15 years of operational finance/accounting experience Strong practical knowledge of accounting, compliance, and taxation Must be comfortable with hands-on execution Strong user of ERP and Microsoft Excel Experience in handling audits independently Problem-solver who can take ownership of the finance function Reliable, detail-oriented, and process driven Qualification Preference: B.COM/MBA (Finance), M.Com, or equivalent (Non-CA candidates preferred )Location & JoiningLocation: Kolkata Immediate joiners / short notice period preferred What We OfferSenior operational ownership Competitive compensation Stable and professional work environment Long-term role with independence
