Job Title: Senior Finance & Accounts (Operations Lead) Location: Kolkata Experience: Minimum 15 years Joining: Immediate / Short notice preferred Qualification: B.Com/MBA (Finance) / M.Com / Similar | Preference: Non-CA candidatesJob SummaryWe are hiring a Senior Finance & Accounts Professional to manage the full finance and accounting operations on a day-to-day basis. The role is execution-driven and requires someone who can run the finance function independently — from accounting and compliance to reporting and coordination — with strong control over numbers and processes.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Day-to-Day Finance OperationsMaintain complete books of accounts independentlyOversee vouchers, journals, ledgers, reconciliations, and day-end/month-end closingEnsure accuracy in accounting entries and zero pending reconciliationsHandle payroll processing, expense booking, and vendor paymentsStatutory Compliance & Taxation (Hands-On)Prepare and file GST returns, TDS, Income Tax workingsEnsure PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory complianceCoordinate audits and prepare all audit schedules and workingsHandle assessments, notices, and follow-ups with consultantsBilling, Receivables & Payables ControlMonitor customer billing, collections, and ageingControl vendor payments, advances, and ledger balancesFollow up on overdue receivablesAvoid credit leakage and payment delaysBanking & Cash Flow ControlHandle day-to-day banking activitiesManage bank limits, LC/BG documentation, and fund utilizationMonitor cash flow and payment schedulingCoordinate with banks for operational requirementsMIS, Reporting & ControlsPrepare monthly MIS, cash flow statements, profit statementsEnsure correct classification of income and expensesIdentify mismatches, wrong accounting, or leakagesMaintain discipline in documentation and approvalsSystems & Team HandlingSupervise the accounts teamReview daily work outputsEnforce processes and documentation controlsImprove operational efficiency in accounts workflowCandidate ProfileMinimum 15 years of operational finance/accounting experienceStrong practical knowledge of accounting, compliance, and taxationMust be comfortable with hands-on executionStrong user of ERP and Microsoft ExcelExperience in handling audits independentlyProblem-solver who can take ownership of the finance functionReliable, detail-oriented, and process drivenQualification Preference: B.COM/MBA (Finance), M.Com, or equivalent (Non-CA candidates preferred)Location & JoiningLocation: KolkataImmediate joiners / short notice period preferredWhat We OfferSenior operational ownershipCompetitive compensationStable and professional work environmentLong-term role with independence
