Job Description

The Senior Associate (Grants) will be responsible for researching funding opportunities, preparingsuccessful grant proposals, maintaining grant databases, and ensuringcompliance with grant requirements.Success in the role of Senior GrantsAssociate is measured by the ability to secure funding that supports theorganization's programs and initiatives, as well as by the effective managementof grants throughout their lifecycle.The role of Senior Grants Associate isintegral to the organization's fundraising efforts and overall mission.

Role and Responsibilities:

Grant Research and Identification: Conduct research toidentify potential grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies,corporations, and other funding sources aligned with our organization's missionand unrestricted funding i.e. capacity building, tech grants, op-ex. Monitorfunding trends, RFPs, and grant databases to stay informed about new fundingopportunities.
Proposal Development andWriting: Collaborate with program staffto develop compelling grant proposals, including project descriptions, budgets,and impact metrics.
Ensure all grantapplications are submitted accurately, on time, and in compliance with funderguidelines.
Grant Administration: Oversee the grant application and reportingprocess, including tracking deadlines, submitting progress reports, andensuring compliance with grant requirements.Maintain accurate and up-to-daterecords of grant-related communications,submissions, and outcomes in the organization's database.
Monitoring and Evaluation: Work with program staff to develop performancemetrics and indicators to assess the impact of funded programs. Participate inthe monitoring and evaluation of grant-funded projects to track progress andoutcomes.

Educational Qualification/Experience:

Bachelor's/Master’s degreein a relevant field (e.g., nonprofit management, public administration,business administration).
Minimum of 2-3 years ofexperience and expertise in Grant research, grant writing and making,fundraising, or nonprofit fund development.

Knowledge & Skill sets required:

Strong understanding ofgrant research, grant making, including prospect research well-connected withnew networks and cold leads, proposal writing, and grant management.
Excellent written andverbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex conceptsand data effectively.
Detail-oriented withstrong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to workcollaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple prioritieseffectively.
Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice Suite, CRM tools
