Job Brief

Our client is looking for a Head of Quality Assurance (Head – QA). The incumbent will be based out of the factory at Tumkur and formulate strategy, process interventions and audits across the manufacturing process that ensures highest quality output that are well appreciated by the internal and the external ecosystem. The Head of QA would integrate the Quality systems and process with the culture of the organization, to make QA a hallmark of sustainable results and reputation for the brand. The manufacturing process involves Extrusion + Blowing, Fabric, and Finishing as stages.


Role & Responsibility:

Leadership and Strategy:

a)   Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy that aligns with the company’s goals, objectives, and customer expectations.

b)   Lead, mentor, and manage the QA team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

c)   Set quality objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and drive performance QA.

Process Management:

a)   Drive the execution of the QA processes, standards, and methodologies from raw material to FG stage, across the organization.

b)   Ensure that QA processes are followed and that inputs and the output meet the company’s quality standards.

a)   Create QA check points in manufacturing process that improves the yield, output and minimizes wastage.

b)   Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Collaboration and Communication:

a)   Manage and direct a team of QA.

b)   Work closely with the planning team and prepare for the changeover led QA issues.

c)   Collaborate with manufacturing, product development, costing, and other departments to define and ensure alignment of QA processes throughout the NPD.

d)   Proactively seek feedback and opportunities to improve QA from customers and Marketing.

e)   Work closely with Marketing to understand QA escalations and resolve them with utmost commitment to QA and customer satisfaction.

Continuous Improvement:

a)   Identify areas for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance QA efficiency and effectiveness.

b)   Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and technologies to ensure the QA team is using the best practices.

c)   Recruit, train, and retain top QA talent to build a high-performing team.

d)   Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the QA team.

Qualifications:

v MBA in Operations and or a Bachelor’s degree in Production / Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

v 10+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

v Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

v Proven experience in managing QA teams and driving quality initiatives.

v Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

v Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

v Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

v Exposure to leading training programs, usage of testing tools and techniques in QA.
