Role Overview:

Reliance RE Power is seeking a highly capable and forward-looking professional to join as Manager Finance & Commercial. This role will lead vendor-related interactions, contract negotiations, and commercial vetting while ensuring strong oversight of accounts receivable, billing, and budgetary control. The incumbent will play a strategic role in safeguarding financial interests, driving cost efficiency, and strengthening governance across commercial and financial functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial & Vendor Management

  • Lead all vendor-related discussions, ensuring transparency and mutual value creation.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts, safeguarding the organization's commercial and financial interests.
  • Review and approve commercial terms of vendor agreements, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Develop processes and best practices for contract lifecycle management.

Financial Governance & Control

  • Oversee accounts receivable functions including billing, invoicing, and timely collections.
  • Monitor budgets, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, compliance requirements, and audit standards.
  • Provide regular financial and commercial insights to leadership for informed decision-making.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Act as the primary liaison between finance, procurement, legal, and operations teams for contract and financial matters.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable smooth execution.
  • Mentor and develop team members within the Finance & Commercial Group, driving capability enhancement and accountability.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • MBA (Finance/Operations), CA, ICWA, or equivalent qualification.
  • 6–8 years of experience in finance and commercial roles, including at least 3–5 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Proven track record in vendor negotiations, contract management, and financial governance.
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable, billing, and budgetary control.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and financial reporting tools.
