Job description

Test Planning and Design:

  • Analyze software requirements and create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Develop test strategies including functional, regression, performance, usability, and compatibility testing.
  • Design and implement automated test scripts using appropriate testing frameworks.

Test Execution:

  • Execute manual and automated test cases across different platforms and environments.
  • Identify and document software defects using bug tracking tools.
  • Report bugs to developers with clear descriptions and steps to reproduce.
  • Monitor bug resolution and retest fixes.

Quality Assurance:

  • Review software documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in code reviews and design discussions to identify potential quality issues early on.
  • Track quality metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with developers to implement quality best practices.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and report testing progress.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure timely bug resolution.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Proficiency in testing methodologies (black-box, white-box, regression, etc.)
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Appium, etc.)
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Java, Python, etc.) for scripting automated tests
  • Familiarity with database concepts for data-driven testing
  • Strong knowledge of Linux commands (Must have)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify defects effectively
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15, ₹50,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Kothrud, Pune, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
