Job description
Test Planning and Design:
- Analyze software requirements and create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Develop test strategies including functional, regression, performance, usability, and compatibility testing.
- Design and implement automated test scripts using appropriate testing frameworks.
Test Execution:
- Execute manual and automated test cases across different platforms and environments.
- Identify and document software defects using bug tracking tools.
- Report bugs to developers with clear descriptions and steps to reproduce.
- Monitor bug resolution and retest fixes.
Quality Assurance:
- Review software documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions to identify potential quality issues early on.
- Track quality metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with developers to implement quality best practices.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and report testing progress.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure timely bug resolution.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency in testing methodologies (black-box, white-box, regression, etc.)
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Appium, etc.)
- Knowledge of programming languages (Java, Python, etc.) for scripting automated tests
- Familiarity with database concepts for data-driven testing
- Strong knowledge of Linux commands [Must have]
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to identify defects effectively
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15, ₹50,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Kothrud, Pune, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
