Software QA Automation Engineer – Playwright

Your role as a QA Automation Engineer is to write scripts and create automation environments for repeated tests. Using different automation tools, you will design, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions. Your goal is to automate as much of the testing effort as possible with a minimum set of code.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing
  • Build and maintain test automation frameworks
  • Set up and manage continuous integration pipelines (CI/CD)
  • Maximize test coverage for critical features and maintain regression suites
  • Log defects and track issues using tools like JIRA
  • Write test documentation – test cases, plans, and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products
  • Conduct exploratory testing to uncover hidden issues
  • Proactively promote QA automation best practices across the team

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of hands-on automation testing experience
  • Strong programming skills in Java and JavaScript
  • Experience with Playwright automation tools
  • API testing using REST Assured, Karate, etc.
  • CI tools like Jenkins, Apache Maven
  • VCS experience (e.g., Bitbucket, Git)
  • Defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

Good to Have

  • Mobile automation experience (Android/iOS)
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Exposure to offshore/onshore collaboration models
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • A proactive mindset with eagerness to learn and adapt

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹800,000.00 per year
