Job Summary:

The Sports Coordinator will oversee developing, implementing, and managing the school's sports programs and activities. This role involves organizing events, managing sports facilities, coordinating with coaches and teachers, and promoting physical fitness among students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive sports environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Design and develop a comprehensive sports curriculum that aligns with CBSE guidelines and meets the developmental needs of students. Ensure the curriculum includes a diverse range of sports and physical activities to promote overall fitness and skill development.
  • Program Implementation: Implement the developed curriculum effectively across different grade levels. Adapt the curriculum as needed based on student feedback, performance assessments, and emerging trends in sports education.
  • Event Management: Organize and coordinate sports events, competitions, and tournaments. Manage all aspects of these events, including scheduling, logistics, and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Coaching and Training: Work with coaches and physical education teachers to ensure the effective delivery of the sports curriculum. Provide training and professional development opportunities for staff involved in sports education.
  • Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance and utilization of sports facilities and equipment. Ensure that facilities are well-maintained and equipped to support the curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Student Engagement: Promote student participation in sports and physical activities. Develop strategies to engage students and foster a positive, inclusive sports environment.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the sports curriculum. Collect and analyze data on student performance and participation to make informed decisions and improvements.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records related to sports curriculum implementation, student performance, and program budgets. Prepare reports and documentation as required by the school administration.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between students, parents, and staff regarding the sports curriculum and programs. Ensure clear and effective communication about program goals, schedules, and expectations.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or additional certification in sports management is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in sports coordination, coaching, or a similar role, preferably within a school environment.

  • Strong organizational and managerial skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in handling sports equipment and facilities.
  • Knowledge of CBSE sports curriculum and guidelines.
