Trustbridge Design and Manufacturing, a division of Vulcury LLC, operates a global concierge-style manufacturing matchmaker platform. We help startups, product designers, and enterprise teams find the right partners for custom manufacturing—across CNC machining, injection molding, 3D printing, casting, sheet metal fabrication, and more.

Our team combines technical expertise with global sourcing intelligence. We're looking for sharp, technically trained individuals to join us in evaluating and onboarding suppliers into our manufacturing network.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Sales Engineer Intern to support our supplier discovery, qualification, and onboarding efforts. You will act as the technical interface between our internal team and prospective manufacturing partners, helping assess capabilities, verify project experience, and build the foundation for long-term relationships.

This is a 12-week paid internship with the potential for full-time or contractor conversion. It is designed for candidates with manufacturing exposure—whether on the shop floor, in engineering coursework, or through project work—who can engage suppliers in technical discussions and assess production capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify prospective manufacturers across key geographies (India, LATAM, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, and more)
  • Conduct outreach and technical qualification interviews with supplier contacts (owners, engineers, or business development personnel)
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities across CNC, casting, molding, 3DP, and fabrication, based on tolerances, materials, technologies, certifications, and sample projects
  • Review and audit project photos, technical specs, and shop information to ensure Trustbridge quality standards are met
  • Document and organize findings in our supplier CRM and assist with onboarding workflows
  • Flag promising suppliers for priority placement and unqualified ones for review
  • Collaborate with the engineering and sourcing team to optimize matches between suppliers and client needs

Qualifications

  • Engineering background or shop floor exposure (CNC machining, molding, 3D printing, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken), with ability to speak confidently to technical and business contacts
  • Understanding of manufacturing workflows and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) principles
  • Comfortable conducting structured video interviews with suppliers and recording insights
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance
  • Familiarity with supplier vetting, sourcing, or auditing is a plus
  • Bonus: Multilingual candidates or those with international sourcing exposure

Requirements

  • Personal computer with reliable internet connection and camera
  • Ability to work a late-day shift (starting afternoon IST) to allow overlap with US time zones
  • Willingness to engage with global manufacturers in a professional, consultative manner
  • Openness to structured onboarding and ongoing feedback

Internship Structure

  • 12 Weeks: Paid internship with weekly check-ins and skill development opportunities
  • Post-Internship: High-performing interns may be offered long-term contract or full-time roles
