Responsibilities for motion graphics designer
Design and animate 2D and 3D motion graphics
Provide aesthetic 3D renders and animation (primarily shading, lighting, animating, and rendering, with some modeling)
Continually research and brainstorm creative ideas, styles, and trends
Work with creative teams and provide ideas in brainstorming meetings
Photograph images for stop motion animation
Assist in designing and troubleshooting templates
Build effective relationships with both internal and external teams
Work closely across teams and shows to take animations from concept to implementation
Work collaboratively with the Art directors and Creative Directors and respective team members to produce brand relevant motion graphics for broadcast, digital and internal projects
Ability to execute 2D graphic design layouts for print and digital executions
Qualifications for motion graphics designer
2-4 Years of Relevant Experience in Video Editing and Motion Design
Strong understanding of design, composition, and branding
Mac based experience and proficiency using Adobe Creative Cloud with specific emphasis on After Effects and Premiere
General knowledge in the video production field (video formats, encoding, web publishing )
High School diploma or equivalent required, 2 or 4 year accredited college degree preferred
You should have a Bachelors degree

Responsibilities for motion graphics designer
Research & analyze animation practices that can be applied to the UO identity, synthesize & share with team
Efficiently self-manage work flow
Can utilize strong communication skills and work within a large team dynamic
Self-initiated drive to move the brand's animation voice forward
Work with team leads to understand project scope and objectives, and help provide design solutions
Work to make motion graphics a part of the overall program
Maintain & follow best practices for version control, naming convention, and organization of graphic files
Create work based on current design trends design styles past and present
Regularly collaborate with internal design teams and external design vendors
Design cutting edge motion graphics using AE to bring our videos to life
Qualifications for motion graphics designer
You’ve done a great job delivering creative motion graphics, animation and some traditional graphic solutions in the past, and could prove that to us with a well curated portfolio of work
You should at least 3 years of relevant motion graphics and animation work experience to be successful in this role
You need to have a good understanding of modern design concepts, along with a digital services background
You are mac friendly, but often use Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint
You made sure to learn 3D/animation programs, HTML5, Captivate and Articulate to broaden your wheelhouse and take on more work
