About the Role India is an identified breakthrough market and Ant International is allocating both resources and investment as regulatory conditions are becoming more conducive for cross border payments. We are searching for someone that can guide Ant International to strategise and build our payment presence in India. This role will be critical for the success of Ant International in the payment space in India and requires outstanding thought leadership to navigate a successful entry of Ant International through working with selected financial institutions regulators, e-wallet partners, acquirers and key merchants across India. Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy to achieve the country's revenue, profitability, and growth objectives Oversee all aspects of the country's operations, including sales, marketing, finance, human resources, and administration Manage and optimize the country's financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability Build and lead a high-performing team of local professionals to effectively implement the business strategy Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market expansion initiatives Ensure compliance with all applicable local laws, regulations, and corporate policies Serve as the primary liaison between the country operation and the global headquarters Represent the company and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and government officials Provide regular reports and updates on the country's performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives Manage a newly formed cross functional team in India across Business development, Government relations, acquiring Requirements for the role 15+ years in financial services and/or payments/fintech experience in India 10+ years in leadership capacity Demonstrated success in brokering strategic partnerships within India financial services and other non-financial services in India Able to problem solve, strong financial acumen and track record at C-suite negotiations in India Strong connections within the India payments landscape i.e. banks, acquirers, e-wallets, Fintechs & local switches i.e. NPCI Has success/exposure with working with government ministries and regulators in India to navigate Indias’ complex payment landscape ie RBI and local switches ie NPCI (not mandatory but preferred) Proven experience in leading hunting and farming teams that involve multiple stakeholders delivering tangible financial results Strong communicator and able to collaborate and bring teams together internally across multiple countries
