Role DescriptionThis is a full-time role as a Senior Payroll Specialist located in Pune. The Senior Payroll Specialist will be responsible for payroll administration, garnishments, payroll services, payroll taxes, and payroll processing.
Should have managed a headcount of 20,000 employees minimum.Comp Range : 25 to 35 plus VPayroll:Reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, variable pay, taxes, and other deductions.Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.Ensures compliance with state, and local payroll, wage, and statutory laws and best practices.Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.Maintain an effective customer service focus to resolve queries from employees, other functions within HR, partner vendor and labour office within defined sla.Prepares analytical representation of executive compensation design and other reward projectsIdentify process improvements to drive efficiencies and best practicesPrepare and input journal entries for all payroll payments, provisions, accruals and reconcile all payroll accounts monthly.Ensures accurate
settlements of exited employee within stipulated SLA.Statutory Compliance:Develop, implement, and maintain processes to ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, tax regulations, and other statutory requirements.Conduct periodic audits to assess compliance levels and identify areas for improvement.Provide guidance and training to HR and management teams on compliance matters.Liaise with legal counsel as needed to address complex compliance issues.Notice Response:Serve as the primary point of contact for handling legal notices, inquiries, and audits from regulatory bodies.Review and analyze notices to understand the nature of the inquiry and formulate an appropriate response strategy.Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including legal counsel, HR, finance, and operations, to gather relevant information and draft responses within specified timelines.Ensure all responses are accurate, comprehensive, and compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
