Permanent Assistant Out of School Hours (OSHC) Director Position Type Out of School Hours Care Commence Date 21 Jan 2026 Employment Status Permanent / Ongoing FTE/Hours per week Part Time Subject(s)/Grade ESO Grade 4 Role Details The Opportunity St Mary’s College is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic education support professionals to join our vibrant College Community in 2026: The Assistant Out of School Hours (OSHC) Director will serve as a pivotal leader within the St Mary’s College OSHC program, playing a vital role in supporting the OSHC Director and working collaboratively with the wider OSHC team. The focus of this position is to deliver a high-quality, inclusive service that benefits children, families, and the broader St Mary’s College community. In this role, you will work to foster a welcoming and supportive environment for all students attending Before School Care, After School Care, and Vacation Care during school holidays. This role may be taken on as a standalone position, or should the successful candidate desire, additional hours are available as a Curriculum Education Support Officer (ESO), which will involve providing in-class support and assisting individual students and small groups within their allocated learning areas. The Assistant OSHC Director position has a regular roster during school terms, including Before School Care, which operates from 6:30 am to 8:30 am and After School Care, which operates from 2:15 pm to 5:15 pm on Mondays and 3:00pm to 5:15pm Tuesdays to Fridays. The roster will be negotiated with the successful candidate and may be adjusted from time to time in response to the operational needs of the OSHC service. During school holidays, the Assistant OSHC Director will work within the Vacation Care program which operates between 6:30 am and 6:00pm. We encourage applications from candidates with suitable experience who are available to work approximately 15 - 30 hours per week. To be eligible for the Assistant Director - OSHC role, you must meet one of the following criteria: - Completed an Approved Diploma qualification (or higher) as listed by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority for SA or- Be working towards an Approved Diploma qualification (or higher) and holda) an approved certificate III level qualificationb) have completed 50% of the units in an approved Diploma.
