JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the AVP of Strategic Initiatives, Solutions & Proposals, the Associate Director – Solutions & Proposals is the primary point-person in Emids’ Presales team accountable for the creation of winning solutions and proposals for our strategic customers. The Associate Director – Solutions & Proposals collaborates with senior members of Business Units, Sales, and Delivery, to understand a solution’s requirements and scope, acquires SME contributions, constructs solutions and proposals, and supervises the efforts of more junior team members. Efficient delivery of solution deliverables, effective quality control, clear communication of expectations to stakeholders, and upward reporting to senior management are critical tasks that must be performed throughout each solution's lifecycle. In addition, the Associate Director – Solutions & Proposals provides management, leadership, and guidance within the Solutions & Proposals team, and works closely with other solution stakeholders to continuously improve processes.
The Associate Director – Solutions & Proposals position is a pivotal role in the creation of high-quality solutions and proposals for Emids. The Associate Director – Solutions & Proposals works under general direction and is responsible for combining mature technical skills with tactical leadership skills to contribute to the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of all work completed under their guidance.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Proposal & Point of View Creation
Identify, understand, and define customer needs, objectives, and business requirements, design a solution that can best meet the Client’s requirements
Actively support the sales teams in promoting and identifying solutions, articulating functional fit and completeness, responding to bid cycles, to the customer requests for information and information to tender
Ability to provide strategic/thought leadership and orchestrate offerings/go to market, aligned to the changing IT landscape, with modern IT /Digital solutions
Work with finance teams and Sales/Delivery leaders to put together bid financials. Come up with innovative financial structuring of deals based on market / deal needs.
Pursuit Management
Manage the bid process for complex to very complex deals. Bring all stakeholders onto the same page and build consensus regarding value proposition, differentiators, pricing, etc.
Enhance the pursuit management process through learnings from self and team. Guide the team and extended members in institutionalizing and following the bid process and timelines to meet deadlines and quality proposals.
Team Management
Provide day-to-day management of Solutions & Proposals Team, along with other Leads, ensuring that all stakeholder requests are handled in a timely manner.
Act as a point of contact for questions/support within the Solutions & Proposals Team.
Provide technical leadership to Solutions & Proposals team members through mentorship and coaching
Lead initiatives to improve the Solutions & Proposals practice and fuel an accountability/ownership mindset among team members
Facilitate conversations and manage expectations with the wider organization regarding the Solution & Proposal team practices
Support recruitment efforts related to the Solutions & Proposals team

Qualifications :
Educational background in Computer Science or equivalent
MBA from a premium management institute preferred, or equivalent IT services presales experience
15+ years of experience in a Presales and/or Management Consultant role, or equivalent
Experienced with professional services and consulting for healthcare companies
Deep understanding of the healthcare industry, its challenges, and opportunities across Payer, Provider, and Life Sciences
