Exp-CA/ ICWA with at least 4+ years of experience in CAPEX Accounting from Any manufacturing industry

Job location- Vadodara, Gujarat Location

Mandatory Requirement

  1. Must be from CAPEX Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Capex Accounting of Group

  • main function of a CAPEX accountant is to help companies or public sector organizations determine what assets to capitalize rather than expense through the P&L, maintain an accurate and current fixed asset register and accurately calculate and post the appropriate depreciation and amortization expenditure. Capital assets are long lasting pieces of property used to generate revenue for the organization. They can either be physical assets such as buildings, machinery, and equipment or informational ‘intangible’ assets such as intellectual property, patents and trademarks.
  • Payback period of new Capex Project and Monitoring Budgeted Capex vs Actual Capex
  • of Machine wise Actual Production vs Machine’s Capacity as promised by Machine OEM
  • and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets.
  • to management any updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets.
  • tag numbers to fixed assets.
  • fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system.
  • the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed.
  • the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger.
  • depreciation for all fixed assets.
  • and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.
  • asset retirement obligations for those fixed assets to which AROs are applicable.
  • the potential obsolescence of fixed assets.
  • periodic impairment reviews for intangible assets.
  • periodic physical counts of fixed assets.
  • to management whether fixed assets should be disposed of.
  • analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management.
  • audit schedules relating to fixed assets, and assist the auditors in their inquiries.
  • property tax returns.
  • the company during any audits by a government that involve fixed assets.
  • company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations.
  • Maintenance of Fixed Assets Register along with CARO Reporting

2. MIS, Financial Statements & Audit:

  • management - review and escalation of exceptions
  • and process controls around
  • vs Actual on Major expenses Spends.
  • with internal and Statutory Auditor
  • (quarterly and Annual) and Tax audit completion as per timelines advised by management
  • of subsidiary financial statements.

3. Regulatory and Statutory compliances:

  • knowledge of TDS compliance
  • knowledge of GST credit
  • knowledge of audit completion

4. Secondary Responsibility

  • in book closure activities
  • Statutory audit, tax audit
