Job Overview

We are seeking a Career Counsellor to join CareerTalks . As a key member of our team, you will provide tailored guidance and support to individuals, enabling them to unlock their full potential. You’ll help clients identify their unique strengths and interests, explore diverse career opportunities, and create personalized development plans that drive long-term success. If you have 1 to 5 years of experience in career counselling and a passion for making a real impact, this role is for you.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or related fields
  • Proven experience in career counselling or similar roles (1-5 years preferred)
  • Proficiency in career assessment tools and methodologies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work with diverse client profiles and guide them through their career choices
  • Knowledge of modern job markets, resume building, interview techniques, and job search strategies
  • Proficient in using digital platforms for research and client management
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Professional certification in career counselling (e.g., Global Career Development Facilitator) is an advantage


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct one-on-one career counselling sessions to assess clients' career goals and aspirations
  • Provide expert guidance in exploring career paths, including further education and industry opportunities
  • Administer career assessments to help clients recognize their strengths, skills, and interests
  • Develop personalized career roadmaps that align with clients’ aspirations and market trends
  • Assist with resume crafting, interview coaching, and effective job search strategies
  • Keep up with industry and job market trends to offer clients accurate and up-to-date career advice
  • Partner with educational institutions, employers, and professional networks to facilitate internships, job placements, and career advancement opportunities
  • Maintain detailed, confidential records of client interactions and progress
  • Continuously engage in professional development to enhance career counselling methodologies and stay current with best practices
