External Technical Consultant – IFS10 Support

Job Title: External Technical Consultant – IFS10 SupportLocation- PAN INDIAExperience- 7 to 15 yearsResponsibilities :We are looking for a Dynamic IFS10 Technical Team Member who can involve in supporting, configuring, and customizing the IFS Application 10 system to meet business requirements, focusing on Core Modules with Key responsibilities of System Integration, Technical Troubleshooting, root cause analysis, assisting with upgrades, and creating technical documentation. To translate client needs into technical solutions using their expertise and experience in the IFS application. Additionally, would be responsible in assisting implementation, customizations, enhancements, process improvements, troubleshooting root causes for incidents with fixes related to IFS10 Core Business Process. You will work closely with a team of experienced professionals to carry out the below Key Responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:To Handle IFS10 technical with system architecture and database technologiesProvide technical and functional support for IFS10, diagnosing and resolving issues to ensure smooth operation of modules.Configure, customize, and localize IFS10 applications to align with specific business needs, such as customizing screens or developing custom objects.Work with cross-functional teams and other systems to integrate IFS10, often focusing on areas of Finance and Asset Management.Keep up to date with latest IFS releases and developments through IFS Learning Academy training and hands-on with the latest releases.Provide guidance on technical solutions / workarounds/ make credible technical recommendations and estimates based on client needs/ project requirements.Conduct thorough RCA for recurring issues and implement long-term solutions to prevent them.Collaborate on system upgrades, patches, and functional enhancements to adapt to evolving business requirementsDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including technical design documents, for the technical solutions implemented.Assist in providing user training on new processes and system functionalities.Preparation of Technical Specifications based on Business Requirements for customizations, reports and integration.Preparation of end-to-end Technical Effort Estimation – Time for customizations, reports and interfaces.Support technical team for development and unit testing / integration testing of developed functionality.Perform System Integration TestingResolve incidents and service requests in line with the SLA clause via ticketing tool SNOW and tracking individual tasks through Jira Board.Support testing during updates, patching and enhancements (UAT, Regression Testing).Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements.Design solutions aligned with industry best practices and business requirements.Skill Requirements:- 7+ years of experience in end-to-end implementation, post-deployment support, and optimization of diverse business processes across Inventory, Finance, and CMMS domains. Proven ability to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.- 4–5 years of hands-on expertise with multiple versions of IFS ERP, with a strong focus on IFS Applications 10 (IEE) and IFS Aurena Native. Skilled in managing upgrades, patching, and version migrations while ensuring minimal business disruption.- Deep technical proficiency in IFS10 architecture, including:Customizations using IFS Developer Studio and PL/SQLSystem integrations via IFS Connect, RESTful APIs and Event Actions- Solid understanding of IFS Base Server architecture, including:Component-based deploymentLifecycle managementSecurity configurationsPerformance tuning- Proficient in Application Forms Development using MS Visual Studio and Aurena Native Framework for Mobile Work Order Application.- Successfully led and executed multiple end-to-end ERP implementations, including:Requirement gathering and gap analysisData migration and cleansing using IFS Data Migration ModuleUAT coordination and go-live supportPost-implementation of hyper care and SLA-based support- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex system issues, including:Root cause analysis using IFS Logs and SQL TracePerformance bottleneck identification and resolutionDebugging PL/SQL procedures and triggers- Advanced proficiency in Oracle Database and PL/SQL programming, including:Writing complex stored procedures, functions, and packagesQuery optimization and indexing strategiesBackup/recovery and data integrity checks- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with:Business analysts and stakeholders for requirement validationFunctional consultants for process alignmentTechnical teams for deployment and support coordinationMust Have skills :Experienced across multiple versions of IFS ERP preferably IFS 10.High-Proficiency in configuration related skillsets: Base Server, IFS Reports, Custom Objects, Screen/Front-End design, Projection Configurations, Entity Configurations, Query Designer, Workflow, Lobbies and Mobile ApplicationHigh-Proficiency in integration related skillsets: REST APIs, SOAP/XML, HTTPS protocols and translation, Data migration Extraction, Transformation, and Loading, Error Handling, Network Architecture and Network Diagrams, Debugging and root-cause analysis,Working knowledge of: Oracle PL/SQL Developer, Base Server, Reports, Custom Objects, Screen/Front-End, Centura, IFS Developer, Visual StudioExperience within IFS Order reports, Crystal / BA / Quick Reports, IFS Upgrade, IFS Implementation.Experience with Unit testing, Integration Testing, SIT, and UAT.Good to have skills :Knowledge of IFS Quick Reports and Business Reporter & IFS Aurena Development.Knowledge of IFS Cloud architecture and IFS cloud Development.Gap analysis, requirement gathering and rationalization experience.Project management and budgeting experience.Technical Certification from IFS academy for developments.Completed IFS Cloud Essentials or other IFS Cloud training modules.Good Understanding of Git and GitHub.
