About the role 

This role involves designing and developing systems & processes around continuous Quality Assurance and Control for the entire range of Private Label portfolio. Also assist the product team in product development and approval process for Eggs, Staples, FMCG Food & NonFood.

 

Key Responsibilities :

  • Process Design & Development :
    • As a custodian of Own Brands portfolio’s quality delivery, design & develop a complete Quality Assurance and Quality Control process for Private Label portfolio.
    • Build a framework for conducting regular 3rd party facility audits, production batch audits and product approvals to ensure the quality consistency delivery.
    • Support the Product team in all product development procedures & product approvals through a process maintaining neutrality.
  • Process Implementation and Optimization :
    • Ensure that all food safety, process quality related and non-compliance issues are investigated and that corrective measures are implemented and adhered to.
    • Implement & ensure 100% end-to-end process compliance for all products approved for launch under the portfolio.
    • Maintain and track quality complaints for the portfolio of products and conduct RCAs and CAPAs for continuous performance improvement.
    • Manage, train and develop a team of Quality Assurance & Quality Control people with presence across the 4 operating regions for prompt and cost effective quality monitoring, response and management system.
    • Ensure allocation of resources for quality work in both Quality Assurance and Quality control functions through a robust mechanism to maintain a balanced approach to scrutiny.
  • Documentation & Review
    • Develop, manage & update the specification and recipe/formulation database for raw material (for staples) and finished products (all processed products) for the entire portfolio of private label products.
    • Continuously review the process to make it more effective and optimize monitoring & cost.
    • Maintain and manage the control sample inventory to review any complaints.
    • Build a network of external labs for product testing on a cyclic basis.


 

What We’re Looking For :

We are looking for passionate product team members who derive joy out of delighting consumers and improving their life experiences through a portfolio of great quality products delivering super-value. The team member should have : 

  • A graduate Food Technology is a must with in-depth knowledge of quality management systems, ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing methodologies would an added advantage
  • Min. of 12yrs of experience in Quality Assurance and Control function with a min of 5yrs of experience in leading a large team of quality personnel 
  • Exposure of a wide array of products spread across categories like - Fresh, Staples, FMCG Food & NonFood
  • Experience in fast paced development involving qualification of multiple products and vendors on a weekly basis
  • Strong leader with experience in building and cultivating strong quality practices and processes
  • Skilled  in hiring, developing and managing team members involved in different types of product and multitude of activities
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Well updated on the developments in the Quality field 
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication, conflict management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish quality objectives and targets.
