Job Overview:We are seeking an API Automation Engineer who has automation experience in DWH APIs to join our team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in automation of APIs for DWH applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to validate business requirements, automate system integration testing (SIT), support user acceptance testing (UAT), and support the overall software implementation lifecycle.

Job Specific Duties & Responsibilities● Ability to understand requirements and technical reference documents and be able tounderstand business requirements● Ability to understand existing automation framework and to create or enhance theframework● Develop API automation scripts, testing of scripts and execute as necessary● Identifying/creating test data to cover identified test scenarios● Ability to use UNIX command to start, stop and ping the server and create UNIX Shellscripts to automate the process.● Ability to create UNIX Shell Scripts and PERL scripts for data loading, data parsing, filemanipulation and text processing needs.● Resolving automation script issues during execution runs and maintenance of scripts● Responsible for reporting defects found during testing and retest of defects● Ability to understand, troubleshoot and differentiate defects, data issues andrequirement gaps● Responsible for on-time delivery and timely escalations/update of risks, issues, statusand exemptions to leadership● Effective communication with the team, leadership, internal and external customerscovering all aspects of team needs● Collaborate with business users and technical teams to validate defect fixes and re-testimpacted areas● Assist business users during UAT and other testing phases by providing support andproviding feedback for improvement.● Awareness of different software development and QA methodologies● Stay up to date with the latest automation tools, technologies and trends

Required Skills & Competencies● Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies● Exposure to ETL, DHW & BI testing● Experience in Automation of data related API’s● Knowledge of CI/CD implementation● Experience in RestAssured or RestSharp automation● Experience in Java or C# based automation frameworks● Familiarity with DataStage, QualityStage and Teradata● Experience in SOAP services testing● Experience in banking/fintech applications testing is a plus● Good analytical skills, troubleshooting and resolution skills● Excellent communication and documentation skills● Ability to self-learn and grasp the knowledge quickly

Required Qualifications & Experience● 7+ years of experience in the quality assurance industry, along with relevant tertiaryqualifications● 3+ years of hands-on API automation testing experience using RestAssured orRestSharp is must● Certification in ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) is a plus
