Senior Automation Engineer

As a Sr Automation Engineer, you will work closely with the QA Team, Engineering Manager, Architects, and Senior Management to design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools. Your goal is to gain a deep understanding of Spendgo's Loyalty Platform and ensure quality and efficient delivery of projects using best in class SDLC processes and tools. .

Location
This full-time position is available as fully remote within India with a preference for candidates based in Bengaluru; eventually you will transition to work from the corporate office in Bengaluru, India as soon as it reopens.

Core Responsibilities
1. Technology: Design, develop and execute comprehensive end-to-end test automation strategies to ensure the Spendgo platform and services are secure, scalable, and performant and they align with the intended business goals and objectives.
2. Process & Standards: Practice proper QA and Automation standards & best practices to increase efficiency and quality of testing and releasing projects.
3. Product & Platform Expertise: Develop an intimate knowledge of the Spendgo Platform and Services so you're able to build comprehensive automation testing solutions using best in class automation standards and practices.
4. Project Management & Delivery: Take the project from concept to production as a team in a timely manner ensuring high quality of delivery.
5. Quality: Ensure the deliverables meet a high level of quality and continuously work to improve the quality standards using automation and process.
6. Support & Troubleshooting: Work with various teams to understand, potentially debug issues and automate the test cases for these. 7. Communication: As one of the senior members of the team, be able to maintain a high level of communication within and across the other teams in the organization. Will need to work across geographies – US and India.
8. Customer Focused and 360 degrees view: Ensure that all deliverables are customer focussed and meet the expectations while maintaining the highest standards of delivery.
9. Hands On and Detail Oriented: In a fast paced environment, the person needs to be hands on and detail oriented, who can come up with creative automation solutions to address the complex product requirements.
10. Distributed Team: Comfortable with working and delivering projects in a distributed team setup across geographies (US and India).

Qualifications
1. 4-8 years of experience in testing, with at least 4 years in automation testing and 2-3 years in manual testing.
2. Proficient in Java, Selenium, and testing methodologies.
3. Experience in automating complex web-based enterprise products.
4. Familiarity with API testing.
6. Comfortable working with databases and SQL.
7. Education: B.E. / B.Tech degree or equivalent.
