Area Sales Manager

Gefran , a global leader in industrial automation, is seeking an Area Sales Manager – East who will be responsible for meeting regional sales targets for Gefran products in the defined territory through direct and indirect channels.
Hierarchical Reporting: Sales Director
Responsibilities/Role Goals
The Area Sales Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their satisfaction from initial engagement through order fulfillment. The goal is to meet and exceed regional sales targets by developing existing accounts and cultivating new ones.
Activities
- Account Development
- Understand and nurture existing accounts through active engagement and relationship building.
- Identify and develop new accounts to expand the customer base.
- Create account management plans for the top 10 accounts using Gefran's Key Account Management (KAM) templates.
- Channel Partner Management
- Assess the capabilities of regional partners and provide training to enhance their business value.
- Identify and onboard new partners to expand geographic and segment coverage.
- Develop Joint Action Plans (JAP) with partners in collaboration with the Channel Sales Manager and Sales Director.
- Sales Strategy and Execution
- Work with Business Development Managers, Marketing Managers, and the Sales Director to promote new products and target new market segments.
- Develop effective annual sales plans to meet annual sales quotas and drive future growth.
- Manage the sales funnel with systematic follow-ups and regular forecasts using CRM tools.
- Customer Engagement
- Conduct regular product and corporate presentations to increase awareness of Gefran's offerings and unique selling propositions.
- Participate in sales promotional activities such as exhibitions, roadshows, conferences, and user meetings.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery.
- Reporting and Forecasting
- Participate in monthly review calls and provide monthly and quarterly forecasts.
- Provide business reporting and insights to upper management.
- Work closely with the service team for pre-sales and post-sales support.
- Interface with internal departments to develop quick turnaround responses to customer inquiries.
- Field Activities
- Conduct a minimum of 10 customer visits per week to maintain strong client relationships.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in creating techno-commercial offers, negotiating, and closing orders.
- Experience in developing key accounts for recurring business.
- Ability to support partners in meeting their annual sales plans.
- Strong knowledge of sensors, automation components, and industry segments.
- IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with SAP and CRM systems is preferred.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience in the industrial automation or related industry.
