Job Title- Manager- Launch Leader

 Job Purpose:

  • Innovation is one of the three pillars in Elanco’s IPP strategy and is critical to become the #1 value contributor to our customers. The EMEA launch leader is instrumental in leading product launches in the region and ensuring planned sales forecasts are achieved across EMEA affiliates:
  • Lead cross-functional launch teams for EMEA geo expansions ensuring key launch milestones and launch dates are achieved.  
  • Collaborate with marketing specie or category leads in the identification and rollout of successful geo expansion product launches across EMEA.
  • Have the capability and expertise to challenge/validate the business cases and affiliate commercial readiness ensuring sales forecasts are achieved.

 

Core responsibilities:

  • Leading cross functional EMEA launch teams for geo expansions, including regulatory, supply chain, quality, marketing, market access, etc., ensuring launch milestones and dates are achieved.
  • Build and drive EMEA launch teams on time and procuring required resources to achieve geographical expansions launch milestones and dates.
  • Recommend the investment in cross-functional capacity to ensure geographical expansion launches achieve business case expectations, for example operating expenses needed for local launches
  • Collaborate with regional and local marketing to ensure consistent and robust marketing deliverables.
  • Create and maintain projects in MS Project Online, EPPM or other systems in cooperation with affiliates and global launch leaders (including readiness for Business Plan and Strategic Plan milestones)
  • Support the marketers on market assessments and sales forecasts and challenge/validate business case assumptions and sales forecasts ensuring sales forecasts can be achieved.  
  • Align geo expansion business cases with M&Q and Regulatory Affairs to ensure feasibility and timelines
  • Ensure as the project approaches launch date, the estimates of adoption and penetration are aligned with a plan from the commercial team to achieve those goals.
  • Keep appropriate global launch leaders informed on progress of projects for EMEA
  • Align communication plan with relevant global launch leader, supply chain launch leader, regional innovator, and affiliates
  • Ensure Business Case and assumptions readiness for PCAP submissions across geo expansions in EMEA affiliates
  • Effectively share knowledge on launch best practice and lessons learned across species and geographies


Key performance indicators:

  • EMEA Geo expansion Launched projects, annual sales and peak sales value
  • EMEA Geo Expansion Number of launches and peak sales value in pipeline
  • EMEA Geo expansion Post launch governance process tracking launch performance


Education/Experience

  • Degree level either life science or business qualification. MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in the Agriculture, Pharma or Animal Health industry
  • Knowledge from product Portfolio Management and new product launches planning and execution
