As Finance Data and BI Assistant Manager, your role will be to support the Finance & Commercial functions with the development of data systems to provide comprehensive insights into a number of areas across the business. You will discover efficient ways to organise, store and analyse data with attention to accuracy and legitimacy of data. Related Experience / Qualifications / Credentials:

• Excellent data analysis skills (strong Excel required as a minimum)

• Experience of using Power BI (essential)

• Experience of using SQL

• Experience of using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (essential & experience of SugarCRM

would be advantageous)

• Exceptional communication skills; written, verbal and active listening – ability to clearly articulate messages to

a variety of audiences

• Ability to multi-task, prioritise, manage time effectively and problem-solve under pressure

• Have an eye for detail and able to identify errors and anomalies within data across multiple sources

• A professional and collaborative approach to the management of customer data, placing customers' needs at

the heart of every decision.



Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain custom reports in Power BI, to assist the Finance & Commercial reporting manager with
  • automated reporting across the entire finance and commercial suite.
  • • Create additional reports and complete data extraction in relation to other ad-hoc projects across the Finance
  • department and wider business when needed
  • • Identify patterns, relationships and problems in data and statistical sets
  • • Contribute and assist in the creation of a data warehouse within the business to ensure clear guidance and
  • engagement with stakeholders
  • • Troubleshoot data-related problems and escalate issues accordingly
  • • Determine limitations in data reliability and usability
  • • Use continuous improvement methodologies to assess ways of working
  • • Collaborate with wider workstreams to gather requirements and identify reporting and analytics opportunities
  • • Evaluating and documenting database changes or refinements
  • • Providing guidance and training as required to other team members
  • • Develop and implement procedures for effective data management
  • • Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data
  • • Regularly monitor and evaluate information and data systems that affect analytical results
