Job OverviewWe are looking for a passionate News Anchor to join our dynamic team. You will play an important part in the creative cycle of news broadcasting. As a News Anchor, you will be working with the News Reporters to gather information, broadcast news and interview guests. You will be presenting the news stories, national and international current events to the audience in an interesting and unbiased manner. We will love to meet youResponsibilitiesResearching on the local community, national, state and international current affairs.Meeting up the reporters, news directors and fellow news anchors to be briefed on the routine news.Collaborating with the news directors to pick the right stories that should be broadcasted daily considering the audience’s preferences.Organizing the breaking news in a way that it presents the most interesting aspects first.Revising scripts and preparing them well to be delivered live.Interviewing guests and other members.Introducing the news correspondents that are reporting on the scene and asking them relevant questions.Complying with the moral code of the journalistic profession.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or relevant field.Proven work experience as a Professional News Anchor or a similar role in the Media Department.Ability to understand the news programs process.Ability to analyze and broadcast news coverage for both radio and television stations as and when required.Extensive know-how of national as well as international affairs particularly in terms of culture, legislative, economy and politics.Exceptional social media presence.Good understanding of the bureau of labor statistics.Great interpersonal skills.Exceptional oral and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills.Outstanding problem-solving skills.Exceptional attention to detail.Good time management abilities.Strong decision-making skills.
