Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the strategy formulation and implementation of the vision of a regulatory body of a country in the Middle East to promote investment into the mining sector and enable significant production growth.

The ideal candidate will be a trained mining geologist with relevant consulting experience in the mining industry.


Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with the regulatory body to understand their vision for the mining sector and develop a comprehensive strategy to promote investment and enable significant production growth
  • Provide technical advice and expertise on mining geology to support the development of the regulatory framework and mining policies
  • Conduct research and analysis on the mining industry in the region to identify key trends, opportunities, and challenges
  • Develop and implement programs to attract investment into the mining sector and promote the development of new mining projects
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders, including mining companies, investors, and local communities, to promote sustainable mining practices
  • Develop and implement performance metrics to track progress and provide regular updates to the regulatory body
  • Provide thought leadership and contribute to the development of methodologies, tools, and intellectual property related to mining geology and the mining industry


Skills Required:


  • Bachelor's degree in geology or a related field; Master's preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant consulting experience in the mining industry
  • Strong technical expertise in mining geology, including exploration, resource evaluation, and mine development
  • Detailed understanding of JORC code regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful mining strategies
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed
