We are looking for a Management Trainee – Culinary who is passionate about global cuisine, eager to learn, and ready to work directly with the founders to shape the next chapter of our food story.
Role Overview:
As a Management Trainee – Culinary, you will work closely with our founders and core kitchen team, gaining hands-on exposure to all aspects of menu development, kitchen operations, culinary showcases with partner produce and leadership in a fast-growing gourmet café environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Work directly under the founders to execute and implement culinary vision, R&D, hosting & master classes and kitchen operations .
Assist in menu development , seasonal specials, and ingredient sourcing.
Support daily kitchen operations including prep, plating, quality checks, and hygiene standards.
Take part in staff training, kitchen SOPs , and day-to-day management of the culinary team.
Learn and apply cost control, inventory management, and wastage reduction practices.
Actively participate in the launch of new dishes and events at Coffee Mechanics and Kana.
Cultivate leadership skills to supervise and motivate junior kitchen staff.
Requirements:
Degree/Diploma in Culinary Arts from a reputed institute
Prior experience as an intern or commis in a professional/commercial kitchen.
Passion for learning, curiosity about local and global ingredients, and enthusiasm for working in a creative culinary space.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Quick learner with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated leadership qualities and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
