Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented
QA Engineer
with experience in testing
voice-based products and applications (IVR, speech recognition, voice bots, conversational AI, or telephony systems)
. The role will focus on ensuring product quality, functionality, and user experience by designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with product, development, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute
    test plans, test cases, and test scripts
    for voice-based applications.
  • Perform
    functional, regression, performance, and usability testing
    of voice products (IVR, voice bots, call routing systems, etc.).
  • Validate
    speech recognition accuracy, latency, call flow, DTMF inputs, multi-lingual voice support, and audio quality
    .
  • Test
    voice interactions across different platforms
    (mobile apps, web, telephony, smart devices, etc.).
  • Identify, log, track, and report software defects in a clear and concise manner.
  • Hands on with
    Linux Basic Commands.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and business teams to ensure test coverage and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with
    industry standards for telephony/voice-based applications
    .
  • Automate repetitive test cases where applicable, using test automation frameworks/tools.
  • Provide
    QA sign-off
    for releases after validating stability and user experience.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in
    QA testing
    , with hands-on experience in
    voice/telephony product testing
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    IVR systems, SIP/VoIP protocols, call flows, and speech recognition engines
    .
  • Should have sound knowledge and functionality ofPBX (particularly
    Asterisk)
    and IVRS exposure.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting
    Asterisk dial plans
    .
  • Ability to
    debug Asterisk logs
    , trace calls, and interpret call flow.
  • Experience with
    manual and automated testing
    of voice-based applications.
  • Familiarity with tools like
    SIPp, Wireshark, Appium, Selenium, JMeter, or similar
    .
  • Basic knowledge of
    MySQL DB
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
