Senior Manager: Accounts


We are looking for a knowledgeable, well-rounded Senior Accounting Manager who can lead and

motivate accounting staff members and increase department accuracy and efficiency.


Job Type: Full-time

Job Location: Pune (Pune-based applicants are encouraged to apply)

Candidate from industrial background will be preferred


The Senior Accounting Manager will be required to delegate, supervise, and participate in

accounting department tasks, oversee the recording, tracking, and reporting of financial

information, hire, train, and motivate accounting staff members, develop and implement

department controls and procedures, and ensure that the department operates efficiently without

sacrificing accuracy. Candidate would be expected to have a strong understanding of accounting and management principles. He/She should keep abreast about the latest updates regarding tax

compliances, export regulations and financial legislation.


To succeed as a Senior Accounting Manager, you should be analytical, detail-oriented, and

honest. The ideal Accounting Manager should possess excellent leadership and possess

process improvement attitude to make work more efficient.


Senior Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete financial records and participating in audits or reconciliations, as needed.
  • Evaluating, developing, and improving department controls, systems, and procedures that increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Training, and motivating accounting staff members while supervising and delegating department tasks.
  • Analysing financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as vendors or lenders.
  • Ensuring that all accounting processes align with internal standards and current financial legislation.
  • Assisting other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business.
  • Keeping informed about the latest developments in the finance industry related to compliance and legislation, standard industry practices and technological advancements.


Senior Accounting Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelors / Masters / CA degree in accounting or business-related field with at least 10-
  • 12 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of Book keeping, Account Payables, and Receivables & General Ledger accounting principles.
  • Tally ERP (7/10) and advanced Excel
  • Proven experience adhering to daily, weekly and monthly transaction goals/targets is a must.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize tasks, delegate effectively, identify analyse and solve problems.
  • Should have experience in Team Management, Team Building and managing upwards and downwards
  • Proficiency with computers, especially bookkeeping software and MS Office.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to analyse large amounts of data.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and have the flexibility to handle high transaction volume.
  • Should have the readiness to contribute and execute individually if necessary
  • Should be able to drive system adherence in the workplace.
  • Candidate must be able to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
