Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Head of Supply Chain Management at a reputed FMCG food brand. The role will involve overseeing all aspects of the Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Inventory Management, and Vendor management etc. The Head of Supply Chain Management will lead a team to ensure efficient and cost-effective Supply chain operations.

Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company's business objectives.
  • Create and oversee the execution of logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Procurement Management:

  • Lead the procurement team to source and purchase materials, goods, and services.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure favourable terms.
  • Monitor market trends and collaborate with suppliers to ensure the supply of high-quality products.

Logistics Management:

  • Oversee the logistics team to manage the storage and distribution of goods.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations regarding transportation and storage.
  • Optimize logistics operations to reduce costs and improve delivery times.

Stores Management:

  • Manage the stores function to ensure efficient inventory management and control.
  • Implement inventory management systems to maintain optimal inventory levels and reduce waste.
  • Conduct regular audits and monitor stock levels to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Encourage professional growth and provide training opportunities for team members.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of supply chain activities.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics and improvement areas.
  • Implement corrective actions to address any deviations from targets.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions across the supply chain.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance supply chain operations.
  • Lead or participate in projects aimed at improving supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.


Qualifications:


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or professional certifications preferred.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role with

a reputed National or regional level FMCG brand ideally from food industry.

  • Proven experience in managing procurement, logistics, and inventory management functions.
