Qualifications and Skills Proficiency in career assessment tools to evaluate and identify individual strengths and areas for improvement. Expertise in resume building software to assist students in creating impactful and professional resumes. Strong capabilities in career pathway planning to help students design and navigate their career trajectories effectively. Abilities in digital profile optimization to enhance students' online presence and attract potential employers. Competent in job interview coaching to prepare students for successful interactions with potential employers. Holistic advising techniques (Mandatory skill) to provide comprehensive career advice that considers the entire individual's context. LMI (Labor Market Information) research (Mandatory skill) for staying informed about current industry trends and demands. Diversity and inclusion advocacy (Mandatory skill) to ensure equitable and accessible career support for all students. Speaking proficiency in English, Tamil, and preferably in Malayalam is a must. Roles and Responsibilities Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students to explore career interests and opportunities. Develop and implement career workshops and seminars to enhance students' skills and knowledge. Collaborate with faculty and industry professionals to create internship and job placement opportunities. Maintain and update student records, tracking progress and counseling sessions for future reference. Advise on academic pathways and potential career opportunities related to specific fields of study. Network with employers and alumni to establish strong industry connections for the institution. Provide resources and support for application processes, including resume and cover letter critiques. Foster an inclusive environment where all students feel welcomed and supported in their career endeavors.
