Job Summary :
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee our automotive manufacturing and production operations in Pune. The ideal candidate will drive operational efficiency, optimize processes, and ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations while meeting safety, quality, and production goals.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee the end-to-end operations of the automotive manufacturing plant, including production, supply chain, and quality control.
Develop and implement operational strategies to meet production targets, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, safety, quality, and delivery timelines.
Lead and manage a team of supervisors, technicians, and production staff, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, quality, and logistics to streamline processes and ensure smooth operations.
Implement and monitor lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and compliance with environmental and industry regulations.
Manage budgets, production schedules, and resources to optimize operational performance.
Identify bottlenecks and lead root cause analysis to resolve operational challenges.
Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high-quality standards in automotive production.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree in Operations Management is preferred.
7-10 years of experience in operations management within the automotive industry.
Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, including assembly, machining, and welding.
Proven track record in process optimization, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning software.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for the automotive sector.
Preferred Skills :
Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other operational excellence methodologies.
Experience in managing large-scale automotive production facilities.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
