Job Title: Product Head

Location: Brindavan - Kalina, Mumbai

Experience: 15 years in Agri Finance, Rural Lending, or related domains

Industry: Banking, NBFC, Fintech

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Strategy & Development:


• Design and develop lending products for unsecured lending (based on Agri & allied income) and secured lending (against residential/commercial property & Agri land) for working capital.


• Define the product roadmap, aligning with business goals and customer needs.


• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, risk policies, and industry best practices.

2. Digital Lending & UI/UX:


• Develop seamless app journeys, UI/UX , and customer onboarding flows for agri-financing solutions.


• Collaborate with tech teams to implement digital lending solutions, ensuring a frictionless user experience.


• Leverage data analytics & AI for credit underwriting and risk assessment.

3. Risk & Compliance:


• Oversee legal & technical valuation, title search, and collateral assessment for secured loans.


• Define risk frameworks and policies for farmer income estimation and credit decisioning.


• Work closely with compliance and legal teams to ensure adherence to financial regulations.


• Understand commodity cycles, varieties, price polling mechanisms, and margin call assessments .

4. Stakeholder Management & Partnerships:


• Build and manage relationships with FPOs (Farmer Producer Organizations), agri-corporates, fintechs, NBFCs, banks, and government bodies .


• Drive corporate tie-ups for market expansion and credit facilitation.


• Manage CM relationships and collaborate on warehouse receipt financing.


• Work with internal teams (sales, operations, credit, and tech) to optimize product performance.

5. Portfolio & Commodity Finance Management:


• Portfolio management – monitor overdue accounts and implement measures to keep the portfolio clean.


• Warehouse Receipt Financing (WRF) business – strong understanding of commodity finance, storage, and risk assessment.


• Develop frameworks for price polling mechanisms and margin call assessments to ensure risk control.


• Liquidation of commodities – experience in handling distressed asset sales and liquidation of pledged stocks is a plus.

6. Farmer Income Estimation & Credit Underwriting:


• Develop innovative income assessment models based on agri and allied activities.


• Leverage alternative data sources for better credit assessment and loan structuring.


• Work with underwriting teams to improve credit decisioning processes.

Key Requirements:


• 15+ years of experience in Agri/Rural Lending, Commodity Finance, NBFC, or Banking .


• Strong understanding of secured and unsecured lending products in the agricultural sector.


• Experience in commodity finance, WRF, CM relationships, price polling mechanisms, and margin call assessments .


• Proven expertise in product development, digital lending, UI/UX design, and alternative data analytics .


• Knowledge of legal and technical valuation, title search, and collateral risk assessment .


• Strong portfolio management skills with the ability to maintain a clean book.


• Experience in stakeholder management, corporate tie-ups, and FPO collaborations .


• Ability to drive innovation and implement tech-driven lending solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:


• MBA/PGDM in Finance, Agri Business, Rural Management, or related fields.


• Experience working with financial institutions, fintechs, agri-tech companies, or commodity financing businesses .
