Job Overview We are looking for a Finance and Accounting Executive with a strong background in accounting and finance, ideally someone who has partially cleared their Chartered Accountancy (CA) certification. This role is vital for managing and optimizing the financial health of WTF Gyms. The ideal candidate should have expertise in financial management, bookkeeping, compliance, and analysis, along with a proactive mindset for improving operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Reporting: Maintain accurate financial records, including daily bookkeeping, journal entries, and ledger management.
Prepare detailed financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow projections.
Handle month-end and year-end closing processes.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and monitor budgets for gym operations and corporate activities.
Create financial projections to guide strategic planning and business expansion decisions.
Provide variance analysis between actual and budgeted results, offering actionable insights.
Compliance & Taxation: Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable tax laws.
Prepare and file returns for GST, TDS, and advance taxes as required.
Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure statutory compliance.
Payroll & Vendor Management: Oversee payroll processing, ensuring timely salary disbursals and compliance with statutory obligations like PF and ESIC.
Manage vendor payments, track accounts payable, and reconcile discrepancies.
Cost Management & Optimization: Analyze gym operational expenses and identify areas for cost reduction.
Develop strategies to improve profitability while maintaining service quality.
Financial Systems & Automation: Leverage financial tools and software to improve accounting accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with the tech team to integrate financial operations with existing WTF systems like BioMax and CRM platforms.
Audit & Internal Controls: Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to internal financial policies and SOPs.
Strengthen internal control mechanisms to mitigate risks and improve financial transparency.
Stakeholder Reporting: Provide regular financial reports and performance summaries to senior management.
Assist gym owners with financial planning, performance reviews, and compliance updates.
Who We’re Looking For We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive individual with the following qualifications and skills:
Educational & Professional Background: Semi-qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Intermediate cleared or equivalent).
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting tools like Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks.
Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis.
Key Skills & Competencies: Accounting Expertise:
Hands-on experience with bookkeeping, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
Strong understanding of financial statements and operational KPIs.
Analytical Thinking:
Ability to analyze financial data and generate meaningful insights.
Strong problem-solving skills to address financial discrepancies.
Compliance Savvy:
Up-to-date knowledge of Indian tax regulations, GST compliance, and statutory laws.
Experience in preparing and filing accurate returns.
Organizational & Time Management Skills:
Ability to handle multiple financial tasks with tight deadlines.
Attention to detail in maintaining records and reporting.
Communication Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication for interacting with team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
Ability to present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of experience in accounting, taxation, or finance-related roles.
Prior experience in fitness, hospitality, or service-oriented industries is a plus but not mandatory.
