Create the future with us Required Skills/Experience: What You’ll Bring Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems OR equivalent work experience 10+ years proven track record in IT Infrastructure support and server administration in a mid-sized environment (200 - 1000+ server systems). Prior experience in Data Center environment preferred Ability to work efficiently in remote multi-functional teams as well as, inventively and independently as an individual Demonstrated examples of a drive to dig into the details of a system or process errors to tackle customer problems Experience working in mission critical operations environment This position has a physical component requiring the ability to lift up to 25Kg and may require working in cramped spaces or elevated locations Ability to speak confidently & communicate clearly in a virtual environment Strong Alignment to process and be a process champion (including drafting new processes or testing shortcomings in existing) Superb communication skills (oral & written) and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of customers and team environment Data Centre experience requirements Rack, stack equipment including commissioning of new racks Strong structured cabling skills on fiber and copper ( looming, term & test) Airflow management (hot aisle, cold aisle, containment Good understanding of data center design, including electrical and cooling plant & operation thereof Strict consistency to defined Health & Safety processes Working in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team without friction Required systems & hardware expertise Hardware repair, diagnosis & break/fix Cabling (Fibers & copper) installation & troubleshooting Networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, basic troubleshooting) IT Hardware Concepts (RAID, SAN, x86 architecture, SCSI, FC, ethernet, iLO) Core OS Services: SSH, Telnet, RDP, FTP, NFS, DNS, DHCP etc. Base Operating System Installs and configuration Systems administration (Linux and/or Windows Servers) Life at Oracle:  An Oracle career can span industries, roles, countries and cultures, giving you the opportunity to tackle new roles and challenges, while blending work and life. Are you interested in new challenges and being part of a newly built team working on critical projects? Then we’d like to talk to you An Oracle Data Centre Operations Lead will be the main contact between the technology teams, Colocation service provider and the Data Centre Environment. They will provide mentorship and review the task prioritization to technical teams working in the Data Center. As a skilled trouble-shooter on a wide range of Data Centre environment and systems they understand which issues to advance to the appropriate resolver groups. Setup and support of IT hardware and software, utilizing remote access tools as required They build and maintain documentation on technologies they support. They understand all aspects of the equipment they support. They can innovate and make decisions on their own, but also know how to take direction when it is given, paying attention to detail. Expected to improve current processes and introduce automation with aim towards simplification. They can execute small projects individually and work with their manager in planning and executing larger local projects. Career Level - IC4
