This fully remote role provides you with massive upside and exposure to an exciting, fast-moving Silicon Valley startup while allowing you to continue to work IST hours.What you’ll doWork directly with CTO and CEO to shape the direction of developmentMake fundamental decisions about our tech stack, codebase scope, microservice articulation, and system architectureDesign scalable and robust backend systems (routing algorithms, location prediction, etc) to enable our user base to grow exponentiallyWork with a talented Silicon Valley team in a fast-paced environment to integrate and build technologies specific to African marketsPartner directly with our on-the-ground operations staff to design, create and test user-friendly development decisions and workflowsWork with CTO and CEO on recruitment to help grow our team from 3 to 6-8 engineersQualificationsBachelor’s in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE).3+ years of software development (incl. senior-level scope/ownership)System architecture experience (services, data models, queues, caching, cloud)≥1 year in DjangoComfortable with AI-driven developmentMajor plus: experience at food delivery / quick commerce (Zomato, Swiggy, Zepto, Blinkit, Dunzo, Magic Pin, Rebel Foods)Significant plus: Experience with Kotlin or Kotlin Compose developmentSignificant plus: Experience at any other startup, especially international startups.Signals we love: IIT (especially Bombay/Delhi/Madras/Kanpur/Roorkee/Guwahati), exceptional JEE rank (please include in CV), or any standout achievement in any field - tell us something interesting in your CVThe roleBenefits: negotiableTime: 40 hrs/week minimumCompensation: $5.5k–$8k/month + performance bonus + potential for signing bonus≈ ₹4.86–₹6.63 lakh per month≈ ₹58.3–₹85 LPAEquity: 0.75%–1.25%
