Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced New Vendor Development Manager to lead the discovery, evaluation, and onboarding of new vendors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vendor management and sourcing, with the ability to identify high-potential suppliers across India. This role demands market intelligence, negotiation expertise, and a keen eye for quality and trust. A willingness to travel is essential.

Key Responsibilities

· Identify, evaluate, and develop a strong network of new vendors.

· Travel to different cities, trade shows, and manufacturing clusters to explore sourcing opportunities.

· Conduct factory audits and capability assessments to ensure vendor alignment with brand standards.

· Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve the best value without compromising on quality.

· Collaborate closely with purchase, factory, and procurement teams to understand product requirements.

· Maintain a comprehensive vendor database with updated performance metrics and compliance documentation.

· Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to delivery schedules, quality parameters, and cost expectations.

· Keep abreast of industry trends, materials, techniques, and innovations relevant to decor sourcing.

Required Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Design, or related field (MBA preferred).

· 5–10 years of proven experience in vendor development or sourcing, preferably in home décor, lifestyle, or handicrafts.

· Strong negotiation and analytical skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to travel across India.

· Familiarity with sourcing tools.

Preferred Skills

· Understanding of materials used in manufacturing (electrical items, drives, PLC, metals etc.).

· Previous experience working with a manufacturer

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20, ₹25,000.00 per month
