Join us, and you’ll be part of the Middle East’s biggest bricks-to-clicks success story, that registers over 100% growth year-on-year We are looking out for 2 Point of Sale (POS) Application Specialist Years of exp: 5 to 7yrs Location: Bangalore (Yemalur) Job Purpose The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the effective operation, support, and continuous improvement of retail Point of Sale application. By providing expert-level troubleshooting and managing seamless integration with backend systems, this role supports smooth retail transactions and enhances the overall customer experience. Job Description Provide L3 support and advanced troubleshooting for Oracle Retail POS applications (ORPOS, XStore, Jumpmind POS). Manage incident handling, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex POS issues. Support integration between Oracle POS and backend systems including Oracle Backoffice, Central Office, RESA (RTLOG), RPM, and RMS. Implement patches, upgrades, and configuration changes in accordance with change management processes. Collaborate with L1/L2 support teams, vendors, and business stakeholders for issue resolution and deployment activities. Monitor POS system health, performance, and availability to ensure optimal operation. Participate in on-call rotation and handle escalations as needed. Maintain and update technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles related to POS applications. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Job Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus. 4-6 years of hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting Retail Point of Sale systems, specifically Oracle Retail POS (ORPOS), XStore, and Jumpmind POS. Strong understanding of integration with Oracle Backoffice, Central Office, RESA (RTLOG), RPM, and RMS systems. Proficient in SQL and database querying for troubleshooting POS application issues. Experience with retail transaction workflows, POS hardware peripherals, and payment gateway integrations. Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes. Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional and distributed teams. Experience in store rollout and POS deployment activities across multiple retail locations is highly desirable. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working with tools like Jira or Azure DevOps is a plus. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills specific to retail POS applications. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced retail IT environment. Awareness of PCI DSS compliance requirements related to POS systems is preferred.
