Job Description

  • Experience in API testing using postman
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript scripting for test automation within Postman.
  • Experience running automated API tests using Newman in command-line or CI environments.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, and API testing best practices.
  • Experience working with JSON, XML, and related validation techniques.
  • Experience in integrating API tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of backend systems or databases.
  • Experience with API mocking and contract testing.
  • Exposure to version control systems like Git.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development environments.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product team and other QA Engineers to develop effective strategies, test plans and use cases.
  • Execute test cases and analyze results. Evaluate product code according to specifications
  • Create logs to document testing phases and defects
  • Report defect to development teams
  • Help troubleshoot issues and document ever-evolving workflows and issue resolutions.
  • Conduct post-release or post-implementation testing
  • Comfortably run and read automated test scripts, own prioritization of use cases to be scripted, contribute to code reviews, write medium-high complexity test scripts independently
  • Serve as a point person for providing testing estimates and communicating test plan, report metrics and conduct reviews/audits to ensure that all project work and deliverables consistently meet Product Quality standards
  • Support and mentor other Software Test Engineers
  • Map business and technical requirements into test cases and/or test scripts
  • Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices
  • Data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities
