Job Description:

As a Workday Absence Management Expert / Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient implementation, maintenance, and technical support of our Workday Absence Management system. You will work closely with various stakeholders to transform business requirements into complex system configurations, providing expert guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Finding:

  • Advise on technical implementation options for a given target image.
  • Conduct tests and compare technical implementation with business requirements.

Implementation:

  • Implement process adjustments, if necessary, in cooperation with external support.
  • Accompany semi-annual Workday releases, including testing and issue resolution.

Maintenance:

  • Monitor processes and data to ensure process quality.
  • Maintain the system independently within the Absence focus area.
  • Monitor open processes in the area (e.g., unassigned tasks).

Technical Support:

  • Provide 3rd level support by taking over tickets from 1st or 2nd level support.
  • Transfer tickets to 4th level support if required, and manage problem-solving (ticket creation, communication, etc.).

Communication & Training:

  • Serve as the first point of contact in the team for Workday questions within the Absence focus area.
  • Train new team members.
  • Document and communicate changes and updates to the team.
  • Provide content for 1st level support (standard answers, training material, etc.).

Technical Skills:

  • 3-7+ years of experience in Absence Management (Workday Absence certification is desirable).
  • Additional Workday knowledge and/or certification (e.g., Reporting, Security, Time Tracking) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HR management processes.
  • Previous consulting experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software organization.
  • Experience in transforming business requirements into complex system configurations.

Personal Skills:

  • Strong analytical and time management skills.
  • IT affinity and passion for solving complex requirements from various stakeholders.
  • Ability to be effectively and actively engaged in multiple, parallel projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in German and English.
  • Focused and detail-oriented with the ability to work well independently and collaboratively with on-site and remote team members.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Workday with Absence Management.
  • Additional Workday knowledge and HR management processes.
  • Proven consulting experience.
  • Ability to transform business requirements into complex system configurations.
