Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Job Controller to manage and coordinate all workshop jobs efficiently. The role involves assigning repair and service tasks, monitoring progress, managing timelines, and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely delivery and quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the central point of contact between service advisors and technicians.
  • Allocate and prioritize workshop jobs based on technician availability, skill level, and job urgency.
  • Monitor the status of each repair or service job to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all job cards, time taken, parts used, and customer requests.
  • Coordinate with parts department to ensure availability of required components.
  • Maintain productivity and efficiency levels of the workshop by effective job scheduling.
  • Update service advisors regularly about job progress or delays.
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections and ensure quality control standards are met.
  • Assist in troubleshooting delays or technical issues by escalating to relevant departments.
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness protocols are followed on the workshop floor.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
  • Minimum 1–5 years of experience in an automobile workshop environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair processes.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS), job card software, and MS Office.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet daily targets.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience in a dealership or authorized service center.
  • Knowledge of service KPIs (e.g., efficiency, productivity, turnaround time).
  • Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with OEM processes and warranty claim handling.

Salary: 20k-25k
