About the Role The Demi Chef de Partie is responsible for properly preparing all items required for the daily Menus and special events as instructed by the Senior Sous Chefs, ensuring that products are consistently prepared according to the highest possible standards. Responsibilities To follow the Supervisor's instructions for Menu plans and daily preparations. To ensure that products are consistently prepared according to the highest possible standards. To maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor, even under pressure, and utilize an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Cruise Basics. To conduct oneself in a professional and courteous manner, including physical and verbal interactions with fellow shipboard employees and/or in the presence of guests. To attend meetings, training activities, courses and all other work-related activities as required. To record work and rest hours on the crew portal on a continuous basis. To perform operational related duties as required. Shipboard employees may be required to perform other job-related duties as assigned by their supervisor or management. Qualifications-- Cruise Culinary Academy in the Philippines. Professional Chef Certification or Cruise Culinary Academy in the Philippines. Minimum experience of three (3) years in a luxury international hotel property as a Cook/Chef de Partie or a minimum experience of two (2) years in the luxury cruise ship industry as a Cook/Chef de Partie. Very good spoken English (needs to score at least 70% in the onboard English proficiency test). Good communication skills. Good organizational skills and must show attention to detail. Must be in possession of all position relevant STCW certification as mandated by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Must be in possession of a valid Cruises approved Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME), declaring the crew member to be fit for shipboard duty. Must be service minded with an outgoing, charming, and friendly personality. Required Skills Strong culinary skills and knowledge. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills Experience in luxury cruise lines. Knowledge of international cuisines.
