Legal Manager

We are seeking an experienced Legal Manager with strong expertise in Labour Laws, Factory Operations, GST Regulations, and Contract Law. The role requires proactively managing legal compliance, coordinating with operations & external advisors, and ensuring that all factory processes adhere to statutory and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update a compliance checklist covering Labour Codes, Factory Operations, GST filings, and SHE regulations.
- Liaise with the Factory Operations Management Team to ensure compliance with state and central statutes.
- Anticipate and address the legal implications of operational changes and new processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities and circle officers.
- Coordinate with external legal consultants and provide timely updates to management.
- Ensure proper compliance with POSH guidelines, including policy implementation & committee management.
- Oversee timely filing of statutory returns under applicable laws (Factories Act, Pollution Control, GST, etc.).
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
Prerequisites
- In-depth knowledge of Indian Labour Codes, with emphasis on Factory Management, Pollution Control, and SHE regulations.
- Strong understanding of GST compliance & filing requirements.
- Proficiency in Contract Law with hands-on drafting and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with operations & admin teams.
- Strong communication skills in English & Hindi (written and verbal).
- Familiarity with regulatory landscape and authorities in Haryana is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
1) Law degree (LLB) from a recognized university
2) 5 to 8 years of Relevant Experience in handling Factory Operations or Industrial Legal Compliance, preferably in Haryana
Candidates with Prior Experience in a Similar Role within a Manufacturing Unit or Industrial Setup will be given preference.
