This role will be primarily responsible for understanding scale requirements for medicines and making the appropriate determination for which product satisfies the regulatory requirements. To do so, this person will cross-check medScale’s records against public authority publications on a periodic basis ensuring Unimed’s portfolio stays current with all regulatory requirements. This person will evaluate product requests and provide recommendations or adjustments to the MedScale team and will ensure that the proper SAP codes are used.This role acts as a key partner between the commercial and purchasing organization.Reviews public authority regulations and makes determinations on most appropriate medicines and supplies to be compliantCommunicates with medScale team to adjust SAP to use the appropriate SKUCommunicates effectively with the commercial organization to ensure appropriate SKUs are quoted and ordered. Makes recommendations for alternatives as requiredProactively works with the rest of the purchasing organization to ensure adequate supplies in the event of changes to scale requirementsIdentifies alternate sources of supply for quality and cost effectiveness.Assists in coordinating scale purchases across assigned regions, ensuring bundling of spend to optimize buying leverage for the company.Ensures that the organization understands and complies with the appropriate corporate policies and processes as they related to procurement transactions.Skills/Background Required:Bachelor’s degree with a focus on pharmacy or medical assistant.Minimum of 2 years of pharmacist, medical assistance, or pharmaceutical quality experience. Experience with purchasing is a plusGood global knowledge of medicines and health care related consumablesGood understanding of Maritime Medical Regulations3+ years Pharma or Maritime industry experience a plusGood knowledge of English and good communication skillsAbility to follow instructions and protocolsGood organizational skillsExcellent proficiency with MS ExcelStrong attention to detailAdaptable to dynamic and continuous trainingAbility to work accurately and efficientlyRegulatory Compliance Awareness
– Understanding of public authority regulations and their impact on pharmaceutical products.Pharmaceutical & Medical Knowledge
– Familiarity with medicines, healthcare consumables, and their regulatory requirements.
