Overview The Operations Manager (Event Tech) plays a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of event technology operations within the organization. They are responsible for ensuring the seamless integration of technology into various events providing technical support and managing a team of technicians to deliver exceptional event experiences.
Key responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all event technology operations.
  • Collaborate with clients and event planners to understand technology requirements for each event.
  • Lead a team of technicians providing guidance motivation and performance management.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to procure necessary equipment and services.
  • Ensure the setup testing and troubleshooting of all event technology systems.
  • Stay updated on the latest event technology trends and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Oversee the onsite management of event technology during events troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless integration of event technology with other event elements.
  • Manage postevent evaluations and analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Address client feedback and requirements to continuously enhance the event technology offering.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge in event technology services.
  • Ensure all event technology operations are aligned with organizational goals and standards.

Required qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Event Management Information Technology or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing event technology operations preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong organizational and logistical skills to coordinate technology requirements for various events.
  • Excellent team leadership and people management abilities to drive high performance.
  • Problemsolving skills to address technical issues and ensure smooth event .
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients vendors and internal teams.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fastpaced event environment.
  • Sound financial acumen to manage event technology budgets and expenses efficiently.
  • Proficiency in event management software IT systems and relevant industry tools.
  • Strong analytical mindset to evaluate event technology performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate evolving technology trends and client preferences.
  • Certifications in event technology project management or related fields are advantageous.
  • Ability to travel and work irregular hours based on event schedules and requirements.
