The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring that all health, safety, and environmental regulations are followed in the workplace. They are tasked with promoting a safe working environment, educating employees on best practices, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and standards. This position plays a key role in accident prevention, risk management, and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

  • B.Sc /M.Sc +ADIS /PDIS

  • Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in a safety-related role.

  • Experience in (industry-specific) safety practices is a plus (e.g., construction, manufacturing, etc.).

  • Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and safety audits.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Certifications:

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction or General Industry (preferred).

  • First Aid/CPR certified (preferred).
  • NEBOSH (preferred).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform safety inspections in various environments, including potentially hazardous or confined spaces.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying safety equipment as needed.
  • Comfortable standing or walking for extended periods during inspections.
