Project Financials Leader
OBJECTIVE
As the organization is preparing for IPO to become public limited, the Project Financials Leader is a high value add specialized role who will ensure project financial processes & system excellence to deliver healthy cashflow through various project financial parameters. This will be a highly influencing, innovative and analytical role which will drive financial discipline & hygiene consistently.
This role needs to interact with senior leadership team at times to ensure good health of hygiene parameters for every VBU. It's an unique opportunity to work with senior management and leadership team of Quest Global and act as a strong bridge between PMO function, VBU/vertical leaders and project delivery teams.
This is an opportunity that provides an individual to demonstrate his / her capability, leadership skills and help the organization deliver great financial results on time. We are looking for an extremely motivated and inspired individual who is having a keen interest in numbers and passionate about driving project financials. The individual is expected to have command over verbal and written communication skills, MIS reporting, stakeholder management and influencing without authority.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead and manage team of project financial management and hygiene, ensure team effectiveness, productivity and people development.
- Drive financial discipline within the Delivery Organization bringing controls on RAR, UBR, UBR Provisions & timesheet compliance.
- Achieve results through weekly & monthly governance mechanisms.
- Able to talk and influence GBH (Global Business Heads), Customers & CXOs to achieve results
- Talk to senior leaders if things are not moving and seek their support in driving financials
- Provide knowledge & support to the delivery team in improvement of these parameters
- Work with project owners, project controllers, revenue and invoice teams in order to closely monitor, track, report and resolve the issues related to financial hygiene
- Look at projects from the profitability angle and derive analytics of projects for profitability
- Responsible for defining and owning the processes related to Project Financials Hygiene
- Train and coach project owners and team members on best practices and financial processes
- Able to do good team management and keeping them engaged / motivated.
- Leverage technology and latest tools to automate process steps, reports and dashboards to simplify project financials
- Represent project financials in various meetings and forums to drive financial compliance
- Manage and maintain governance rhythms through emails, communication, reminders with financial disclosures as necessary
- Able to generate accurate reports and presentations regularly and circulate them to the stakeholders and raise alarms / escalations at appropriate times.
- Work on improvement plans for driving rigor across the delivery teams and come up with improvement action plan and implementation plan on systems and process
- Support delivery leaders if there are any special requirements for their VBUs.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration and work with other team members to harmonize project financial hygiene
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- At least 15+ years of experience handled team in past as lead, manager etc..
- Minimum graduate with financial certification / exposure, postgraduation preferred
- Good business finance knowledge related to project execution and delivery in service industry
- Conversant with Quest Global project types, project life cycle
- Fair understanding of all commercial contract types (T&M, FFP, UFP, FMB etc…)
- Have conviction and sense of urgency to drive results
- Exposure to financial and project management systems / software
- Project management experience will be an added advantage
