Sourcing & Vendor Manager

The Sourcing and Vendor Manager is primarily responsible for managing indirect (non-IT) and some IT sourcing requirements of India hub. This role requires high level of vendor management at India level including the commercial oversight on the operating relationship between Link Group and nominated vendors to ensure commitments are met within agreed time, scope and budget. Additionally, that evolving business needs are met via effective, low risk vendor arrangements.
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus
Sound understanding of strategic sourcing tactics, Excellent vendor management.Identifying, communicating and influencing the delivery of optimisation such as cost savings and service enhancement informed by your understanding of the vendor ecosphere relative to business’ problem statements, operating models and sourcing initiatives.Operational Management
Act as the Primary contact for contract issues in the relationship between the external service providers and Link Group. Oversee the update the terms and conditions for the contracts.Researches and Builds relations with the new vendors upon a though verificationBuilds a strong sourcing strategyEnsure Link Group develops strong relationships with external providers to maintain effective service delivery and a seamless service for our clients.Conduct regular reviews of contracted suppliers judging performance to predetermined standards. Analyse the delivery of contract outcome against agreed SLA’s and other performance criteria.Collating reports from nominated vendors, to report on their progress to Link GroupEnsure appropriate nominated vendor management and measurement information is recorded and reported as required.Develop and maintain relationships between BU stakeholders to gain an understanding of where improvement can be made with existing contracts.Periodically review current key contracts and supplier relationships.Coach/mentor business unit contract holders in the event of new procurement, or an existing relationship experiencing problems.Implementing and maintaining a best sourcing practices for India hub.The above list of key accountabilities is not an exhaustive list and may changed from time to time based on business needs.People Leadership
Providing oversight on the operating relationship between Link Group and vendorEnsure Link Group develop strong relationship with external service providersKeep a track of all the progress efficiently.Governance & Risk
Guide business units and other key stakeholders in the strategic governance of vendors.Solve issues and risks with existing contracts, if any.Experience & Personal Attributes
10+ years experience in strategic sourcing, heavy on Indirect (non-IT sourcing) managing vendors in large scale corporate environment would be highly desirable.Advance negotiation, oral and written communication and influencing skills to facilitate and achieve favourable outcomes from competing stakeholders.Consultative style and approach.Understanding of benchmarking and improvement opportunities.Strategic thinker.Financial acumenStrong leadership skills.Extensive understanding of procurement practices, tendering processes and contract negotiations.Demonstrated understanding of the implications of different procurement choices.Excellent commercial acumen.
