ITP Media Group is looking for a dynamic, tenacious Events Manager to lead the execution of an annual stable of industry and consumer events across a variety of brands. An experienced events professional, you will be well versed in managing demanding clients and stakeholders, while also keeping a tight rein on suppliers and budget management. You will have a passion for big ideas and creative executions, along with a keen understanding that overall success often lies in paying attention to the small details. 


Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 


The Events Manager will primarily be responsible for but not limited to the following:

·         Leading the execution of events across business and consumer media brands.

·         Power the continued innovation of our events portfolio – an innate sense of creativity and a hunger for new executions is a must for this role.

·         Work with the division’s editorial and commercial leads to plan both brand and client-led events.

·         Develop an annual calendar and plans for the delivery of the group’s portfolio of events, and provide ongoing reporting.

·         Ensure budgets are agreed and set at the planning stage, and ensure all events are delivered within budget.

·         End-to-end management of events across a broad spectrum of scales, from industry-facing gala dinners seating 1,000 people to intimate pop-up live music nights for a consumer audience.

·         Develop work breakdown structures, cost tracking, procurement and project plans, ensuring all stakeholders are clear on an event’s objectives and metrics for success.

·         Manage internal and external clients, as well as event partners and sponsors.

·         Build and manage a network of suppliers across verticals including AV, build and fabrication, furnishing, fit-out and entertainment.

·         Ensure events are delivered to a high standard, and in accordance with the department’s brand guidelines, goals and objectives.

·         Identify new IPs and event formats that will work across our brands, and work with the Editorial Director and the Commercial Director to bring your ideas to life in a way that works for our audience and our business objectives.

·         Have your finger on the pulse – constantly identifying the next big thing across the industry, and using that knowledge to elevate and enhance ITP Media Group’s event offering.


Technical Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in event management, or 8 years equivalent work experience in a related field
  • At least 5 years of industry related experience

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Min. Bachelors University Degree, preferably in event management or related field

Must have a minimum of eight years’ experience in events, at least three in a senior event management role 

EXPERIENCE 

·         Previous experience leading consumer or B2B events at large scale

·         Previous experience leading consumer or B2B events at small scale

·         Previous experience managing suppliers

·         Previous experience managing clients

·         Previous experience managing / running event budget

Plan, assign, write, and edit articles, features, and daily online news stories, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to the brand's editorial standards. Stay updated on industry trends, news, and developments to ensure the brand's content remains timely and relevant. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including industry experts and partners, to enhance content quality and coverage. Ensure the timely publication of content across various platforms, including the brand's website, social media channels, and print publications. Monitor and analyse content performance metrics to make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and professional growth. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field. A minimum of five years of editorial experience, prior experience in B2B publishing is preferred. Required Skills: Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills. Strong editorial skills including editing, proofreading, and fact checking. Creative thinker with a keen eye for design and visual aesthetics. Excellent organisational and project management skills. Proficient in using editorial software and tools. Strong knowledge of digital publishing platforms, content management systems, and SEO best practices. Paywall experience. Project budget management skills. Desirable Attributes: Passionate about the GCC technology market. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
